Elan Organic Red Quinoa is a grain crop grown for its edible seeds and is a good source of iron and fiber. It is tender and seedy in texture, while mildly nutty in flavor. For every 1 cup of quinoa, use 2 cups of liquid and cook for approximately 18 minutes. Once cooked, it goes from opaque and firm to fluffy and light. Like most grains, it can be used in soups and salads or placed in a glass jar for sprouting.
